ith the 2021 Suncorp Super Netball season set to start on Saturday 1 May, here’s the latest commercial partnerships from around the league.

The Sunshine Coast Lightning have announced PETstock as the official team partner for the 2021 season, with the club offering ‘Pet Memberships’ for fans with gift vouchers and exclusive events available for Pet Members.

Lightning CEO, Danielle Smith, said she was excited to see how the Lightning and PETstock could benefit members with the partnership.

“At Lightning we are a family club and that includes our animals, so developing our pet membership offering and aligning with PETstock was a natural progression,” Smith said.

“In this evolving sporting landscape, it is important to provide value across all of our membership categories and this partnership certainly delivers in that regard.

“The opportunity to partner with such a trusted Australian brand has great appeal and we can’t wait to see this partnership develop and grow,” she said.

Elsewhere, Netball Victoria and the Melbourne Vixens have announced a new partnership with McCafé, with McCafé joining as a major partner and official coffee partner.

As part of the deal, McCafé will become the presenting partner of the Melbourne Vixens Association/League Membership, working to provide support and opportunities at grassroots level at no cost to the netball community.

The partnership will see Netball Victoria roll out its new digital platform, Netball Connect, with the hopes of allowing the Victorian netball community easier access to manage, score, play, and watch netball.

Netball Victoria and Melbourne Vixens CEO, Rosie King, said the partnership will deliver great support for the Victorian netball community.

“Supporting the Victorian netball community’s return to court is our priority for 2021 and we’re thrilled that this partnership will help all levels of our game to recover and thrive,” King said.

Netball NSW and GIANTS Netball have announced Carrol & O’Dea Lawyers as the club’s new major partner, with the firm set to feature on the back of the GIANTS dress throughout the 2021 season.

Netball NSW CEO, Tain Drinkwater, who recently spoke to Ministry of Sport on her new role at the organisation, said: “It’s fantastic to align with such an established organisation that shares many common values with GIANTS Netball.”

“The alignment between both businesses sets the foundations for a strong and empowering partnership for many years to come,” Drinkwater said.

Following this announcement, GIANTS Netball also announced their match day charity partners ahead of the 2021 season, McGrath Foundation, Ronald McDonald House Charities Greater Western Sydney, and Butterfly Foundation.
