Top NRL Commercial Partnerships This Week: Sea Eagles, Rabbitohs, And More

With the 2021 NRL season now underway, a number of clubs have announced more of their commercial deals for the year ahead; here’s the top partnerships from the NRL from the past week.

The Manly Sea Eagles have partnered up with local Northern Beaches consultancy business, NDR.

They have also joined forces with Molly’s Cradle Wines, with their selection of wines to be made available to fans at Sea Eagle’s games at Lottoland.

Further south, the South Sydney Rabbitohs have signed a three-year deal with McDonald’s, which will see the fast-food franchise support the club’s digital channels and online fanbase.

South Sydney CEO, Blake Solly, said he’s excited to see McDonald’s help with their digital innovations.

“As a club, we’re very excited to partner with McDonald’s across the next three years and work with them to bring innovation and new experiences to our members and fans on game day,” Solly said.

“The Rabbitohs are home to the most engaged digital fan base in Australian sport, and we know our members and supporters will love the competitions and events McDonald’s are going to run,” he said.

The Parramatta Eels, meanwhile, have partnered with Taubmans as the club’s official paint supplier on a two-year deal.

This will see the Taubmans logo on the jersey bottom back and front shorts panel.

Elsewhere, the Cronulla Sharks have announced a two-year deal with Southern Comfort.

As a major partner of the club, their logo will feature on the lower back of the Shark’s jersey.

The Canberra Raiders have linked up with Alpha Sport for the 2021 and 2022 seasons, with the Australian-owned company to provide sports medicine and first aid products to the ACT-based club.

Two new partnerships have been announced at the Penrith Panthers, with the club teaming up with Torrens University and Swysh.

Their deal with Torrens University will see Panthers players, staff, members, and corporate provided with more education options, as well as providing current Torrens University students with internship opportunities at the Panthers.

Torrens University pathways and partnerships development manager, Jessica Pankiw, said it is an exciting and unique opportunity.

“We currently have over 200 elite athletes studying at Torrens University and we’re excited to now provide all Panthers players with that same opportunity,” Pankiw said.

“This partnership will also allow us to connect with the wider Panthers community and showcase our full range of flexible education options,” she said.

The Sydney Roosters have also announced two deals, with a new two-year partnership with WISE Employment, as well as a one-year extension with Manscaped.
