Top NRL Commercial Partnerships This Week: Broncos, Storm And More

In a week filled with commercial partnerships in the NRL, here are some you may have missed.

The Brisbane Broncos have showcased their 2021 Indigenous Jersey in collaboration with decade long partner, Deadly Choices.

The jersey is designed by Aboriginal artist, Elaine Chambers-Hegarty, with the team to wear the jersey for the upcoming Indigenous Round, as well as their fixture with the Cronulla Sharks in July.

Speaking on the partnership, CEO of the institute of urban indigenous health, Adrian Carson, said the long-standing partnership has been important in “closing the gap” for Indigenous health in Queensland.

“Having the Broncos as a partner for the past decade means that we have always got a story and that people will engage with our health message – and that’s the power of the Broncos brand,” Carson said.

Elsewhere in the league, Melbourne Storm have announced a new partnership with Alliance Airlines as their official airline partner for the 2021 season.

The Storm will be using the airline to travel for interstate games, with the intent on reducing travel burdens and fatigue.

Storm CEO, Justin Rodski, said that the team saw the benefits of using the airline last season during the COVID-19 pandemic and are delighted to be working with them again.

“The COVID period has thrown up some enormous challenges for everyone in our community, including interstate travel for sporting teams, but it has also created opportunities like this one where we now have a great new partnership with Alliance,” Rodski said.

Meanwhile, the Penrith Panthers have announced a new partnership with The Coffee Club Australia.

The Coffee Club joins the Panthers’ corporate network with the partnership centred around an in-store consumer activation ,where one customer will have with opportunity to win a years supply of coffee.

Finally, the Wests Tigers have announced ELMO Software as a premier corporate partner becoming the club’s official human resources and payroll solutions partner.

Tigers CEO, Justin Pascoe, said the club were delighted to welcome ELMO as a new partner.

“Their HR and payroll solutions suite will be of great benefit to the club’s administration, while their commitment to Wests Tigers is a strong indication of the strength of our brand,” Pascoe said.
