With the 2021/22 NBL season ongoing despite COVID-19 challenges forcing the league to continue postponing and rescheduling games, here are all the latest commercial partnerships from around the league.

South East Melbourne Phoenix

South East Melbourne Phoenix have announced two new partners for the remainder of the season, with online global forex and CFD broker, Pepperstone joining as a major partner, and SUPERBOOST becoming the official hydration partner of the club.

As part of the Pepperstone partnership, the brand will receive branding across all remaining Phoenix home games, corporate events and official team wear, with the corporate events area to be branded the Pepperstone Phoenix Nest.

SUPERBOOST, on the other hand, which launches this month after two years of development, will provide samples of the performance hydration beverages at Phoenix home games.

On the SUPERBOOST partnership, Phoenix CEO, Tommy Greer, said: “Being a club and brand in our third year we know the challenges of being a start-up.”

“So, to welcome SUPERBOOST as they embark on their journey is an exciting signing for us.

“We hope the relationship grows as both organisations go from strength to strength.

“We are excited to see where this partnership goes,” Greer said.

Melbourne United

Elsewhere in the NBL, Melbourne United have announced a new partnership with not-for-profit organisation, The Huddle.

The partnership, which combines with the NBL broadly, will see the organisations deliver innovative curriculum modules to primary school students through the GOAL! Program, integrating basketball themes in an effort to engage students.

Melbourne United community and engagement manager, Nicola Parkinson, said the partnership will see the club expand on the work The Huddle has done for the past 11 years with more than 100,000 young people from more than 160 different cultures across Australia.

“GOAL! is an incredibly engaging program that will introduce basketball and Melbourne United to thousands of kids across the state,” Parkinson said.

“We visit hundreds of schools across Melbourne and Victoria every year and GOAL! Allows us to do one step better, extend basketball into the classroom.

“We can’t wait to get started,” she said.
