Top NBL Commercial Partnerships: Phoenix, 36ers

With the NBL returning to full force for the back end of the 2021/22 season and the league’s clubs working to recover from the impacts of the COVID-19 pandemic, here are all the latest commercial partnerships from across the league.

Adelaide 36ers

The Adelaide 36ers have announced a new four-year partnership with payment services provider, VisionPay, with the club to transition its payment and merchant facilities to VisionPay.

Adelaide 36ers CEO, Nic Barbato, said VisionPay, who will feature on the front-of-shorts position for the club, will work closely with the club on future projects.

“VisionPay’s technology and support will assist us in streamlining our offering from our online club store to game-day tickets and hospitality,” Barbato said.

“It’s a fantastic result for the club to have VisionPay support us, and we look forward to growing this partnership over the next four seasons,” he said.

South East Melbourne Phoenix

Elsewhere in the league, the South East Melbourne Phoenix have named OtterBox the club’s official digital partner for the NBL22 season.

With the partnership, OtterBox will claim naming rights of the clubs Chinese New Year Game in February, with all Phoenix Media videos to now be delivered by OtterBox.

South East Melbourne Phoenix CEO, Tommy Greer, said: “It’s a great result for the club to have OtterBox on board as our official digital partner, this is the first time our digital content has had a naming rights sponsor.”

“It speaks volumes to the quality of our digital content that a company of OtterBox’s size have decided to join our club in this fashion,

“We are proud to partner with OtterBox and are excited for them to join the club as our dedicated digital partner.

“We look forward to the beginning of the new partnership,” Greer said.

OtterBox APAC managing director, Freeman Chiu, said: “We are thrilled to be part of this digital partnership with the Phoenix.”

“Being a Melbournian myself this feels home to me but more importantly this allows OtterBox to further entrench the ‘live connected, carefree and protected with OtterBox’ mantra and connect with the basketball fans,” Chiu said.
