Top AFL Partnerships: Swans, Tigers, More

With the 2022 AFL premiership season ongoing, here are all the latest commercial partnerships from around the league.

Richmond Tigers

Richmond continued its decade long partnership with the Alannah & Madeline Foundation with the goal of raising $65,000 from a single match to help keep children safe from violence.

Discussing the continued partnership and support for the foundation, Richmond CEO, Brendon Gale, said: “The way the Tiger Army has embraced the foundation to raise more than $1.4 million across the journey has been heart-warming, and we look forward to seeing our fans back at the MCG as part of the dedicated fixture on Thursday.”

On the support given by the club, Alannah & Madeline Foundation CEO, Sarah Davies, said: “The club’s contributions help make an enormous difference in the lives of Australian children and is a testament to an enduring and important partnership.”

“Over the past 25 years, the foundation has reached three million children, young people, and their families through its care, prevention and advocacy programs.

“It is because of partners like the Richmond Football Club and its members, supporter base and leadership that we can create a safer world for children and provide support to those who’ve experienced violence or trauma to help them recover, heal and grow.

“We are very grateful,” Davies said.

North Melbourne Kangaroos

The North Melbourne Kangaroos have announced Sharp Extensive IT as the club’s official display partner, incorporating the supply of Sharp EIT displays, printers, and LEDs at the club’s Arden Street headquarters.

Sharp EIT managing director, Mario Bernatovic, said the brand will also support the club’s new Game Day program, providing education and employment pathways for young people through sport.

“Sharp EIT has a long history of supporting local businesses and communities, and we’re always looking for ways to support the football community, so a partnership with the Kangaroos is a significant moment for us,” Bernatovic said.

“We are excited that our technology will not only benefit the club but it will also benefit the local community and students who will use the technology to educate, inspire, and engage through the Game Day Program in The Huddle,” he said.

Elsewhere, the club also partnered with SPEAK UP! Stay ChatTY for their recent match to provide opportunities for athletes and fans to put mental health and wellbeing at the forefront.

Sydney Swans

Lastly, the Sydney Swans have announced a new partnership with Twenty10 inc. GLCS NSW, an organisation focused on delivering services for young LGBTIQA+ people.

The organisation will work with the club to deliver inclusivity workshops with staff, athletes and the QBE Sydney Swans Academy, as well as supporting the club’s Diversity Action Plan to create safe spaces where everyone in the club feels welcome.
