s the A-League prepares to enter the 2021-22 season, here’s all the latest commercial partnerships from around the league.

Western Sydney Wanderers FC have announced an extension of Voltaren as the club’s co-major partner for the next two seasons.

Western Sydney Wanderers CEO, John Tsatsimas, said Voltaren will continue to connect with Wanderers’ members and fans on match days and through digital channels.

“We are very proud to be continuing our partnership with Voltaren ahead of the club’s historic tenth season in the A-League,” Tsatsimas said.

“Voltaren are a global brand, and we look forward to working with new closely over the next two years to bring to life many community and digital initiatives,” he said.

The Central Coast Mariners have announced co-major partner, MATE, has taken on the role of major sponsor for the club, featuring on the front of both home and away jerseys for the 2021/22 season.

MATE CEO, David Fazio, said: “What we have seen for the last few seasons with the Central Coast Mariners is the fighting spirit of a team that has a whole region behind them.”

“At MATE, while we may be a telecommunications company, that is not what makes up our DNA!

“We have a competitive spirit which ensures we deliver on our goals of what our customers (mates) want.

“The authentic connections the Central Coast community have with the Mariners is something we need to be a part of.

“For all Mariners fans, we look forward to being even better mates with you in season 2021/22!” he said.

The Mariners have also announced a partnership with Paladin Sports to become the official kit supplier of the club, with the 2021/22 kits to be released in the coming weeks.

Elsewhere, the Wellington Phoenix have announced two new principal partners in Spark New Zealand and OPPO, with Spark to feature on the club’s home kit and OPPO to feature on the club’s away kit.

Wellington Phoenix general manager, David Dome, said: “This is a ground-breaking and unique three-way partnership which sees two of New Zealand’s most innovative and creative companies join with the Phoenix.”

“We are thrilled that two companies of the stature of Spark and OPPO have come on board to get in behind New Zealand’s highest participation sport – and the fact that the club has two principal partners to work together with is exciting for us.

“I am really looking forward to working with Spark and OPPO and delivering some pretty cool initiatives to sports fans all over the country through the Wellington Phoenix,” Dome said.

Throughout the A-League, Brisbane Roar FC has announced the extension of its partnership with the Brisbane Airport Corporation (BAC) as a platinum partner of the club’s W-League program, while Melbourne Victory has announced a two-year extension of its partnership with La Ionica, with the brand to continue as a major partner of the club through to 2023.
