Top A-League Commercial Partnerships: Victory, United, Phoenix

With the 2021/22 A-Leagues seasons continuing despite the challenges of the COVID-19 pandemic, here are all the latest commercial partnerships from around the men’s and women’s competitions.

Adelaide United

Adelaide United have announced a new partnership with PURA, with the Australian owned brand to become the new community partner of the club.

PURA will work with the club to support the Adelaide United School Holiday Football Clinics throughout the year.

Adelaide United commercial business manager, James Dalwood, said: “As a club we are absolutely thrilled to have PURA come on board.”

“They’re a proud and recognisable Australian company that are passionate about engaging in community programs and helping cultivate tangible benefits.

“Our School Holiday Football Clinics, which are run by Marcelo Carrusca and his team of coaches, have been extremely successful since their launch in 2019.

“We look forward to working with PURA in developing new and meaningful connections across our community,” Dalwood said.

Wellington Phoenix

Elsewhere in the A-Leagues, the Wellington Phoenix have announced Chemist Warehouse has come on board as a premium partner, with the brand to appear on the back-of-shirt position for the men’s and women’s side for the remainder of the 2021/22 season and beyond.

Chemist Warehouse will also support the club’s academy and community programs throughout the long-term partnership.

Chemist Warehouse New Zealand CEO, Azman Haroon, said: “The past two years have been challenging, that’s why we are committed to helping more New Zealanders access more affordable prescriptions and enjoy what Chemist Warehouse has to offer in terms of health services, wellness and beauty.”

“Our long-term partnership with the Wellington Phoenix is just the start of our commitment to sport and promoting a healthy and active lifestyle.

“This partnership will support local communities get well, stay well and live well and we look forward to supporting the club at every level,” Haroon said.

Melbourne Victory

Lastly, the Melbourne Victory have extended their associate level partnership with Asahi for the 2021/22 season.

With the extension, Asahi Beverages will remain the club’s official non-alcoholic beverage partner, supplying the men’s and women’s teams with hydration products.

Melbourne Victory managing director, Caroline Carnegie, said the club is excited to continue working with Asahi.

“We’re thrilled to have Asahi Beverages providing our teams with the fuel they need to perform at their best for the second straight season,” Carnegie said.

“Their brands are recognised on both a national and global level and we’re excited to be showcasing their products to our members and fans,” she said.
