ollowing the end of the 2020/21 A-League regular season, as we approach the upcoming finals series, here’s the top commercial partnerships from around the league.

Brisbane Road have announced a partnership with ‘The Football Hub’ at H28 Elite Football Academic, which will see the delivery of a revamped Little Roarers football program for grassroots sport.

The program is targeted at all children 2-5 years old and hopes to promote football and active lifestyles to young children.

The program is set to focus on gross motor skill development, active participation, social interaction, football fundamentals, and more.

Elsewhere, Perth Glory have announced a partnership with Lake Joondalup Baptist College (LJBC) becoming a Perth Glory FC Academy School.

LBJC teacher and football coach, John Walmsley, said the partnership will provide a boost to the school’s existing football program.

“We are delighted that Lake Joondalup Baptist College has become a Perth Glory Academy School,” Walmsley said.

“This link will provide many benefits for students within our football academy and provide alignment to a professional football pathway.

“This partnership will allow us to maximise the potential of each player’s development on and off the pitch, as well as expanding opportunities for talent identification.

“Our football academy students will now have weekly strength and conditioning sessions with Perth Glory coaches and access to Perth Glory nutritionists and sports psychologists through our leadership program.

“This will allow us to continue to further develop our students on and off the pitch into hopefully not only better footballers, but also better people,” he said.

Perth Glory football operations manager, Terry McFlynn, said: “LBJC has a fantastic reputation both in terms of its football program and academic results, making it very much a natural fit for the club as we expand our PGFC academy schools program into the northern suburbs.”

“We are very excited at working closely with John, Brad, and the rest of the staff to maximise the opportunities for the school’s students and replicate the great success that we have already enjoyed at both John Curtin College of the Arts and St. Andrew’s Grammar.

“The PGFC Academy shares LJBC’s strong commitment to producing both better footballers and better people and we look forward to developing this partnership in the coming years,” McFlynn said.

Lastly, Melbourne Victory has announced alongside its partner, SEDA Group, the development of a one-year dual diploma program in sport and business.

The Melbourne Victory Sport & Business Program, powered by SEDA, aims to provide year 12 graduates with the opportunity to develop their skills in a professional environment, by learning from industry experts, coaches and athletes.

The diploma covers such departments including sponsorship, fundraising, project and event management, talent identification, social media, and marketing.
