TNT Sports secures exclusive live coverage of England Women’s cricket team’s tour of India

UK pay-TV broadcaster TNT Sports has successfully clinched the rights for live coverage of the England Women’s cricket team’s upcoming tour of India. The exclusive contract encompasses three Twenty20 Internationals (T20Is) and a highly anticipated four-day Test match.

TNT Sports aims to provide comprehensive coverage, bringing every moment of the action between the top-four ranked T20I and ODI nations to the screens of eager viewers.

Reshmin Chowdhury, a seasoned sports presenter, is set to lead the coverage, bringing her expertise to the forefront alongside former England internationals Alex Hartley and Lydia Greenway. Their insights promise to enhance the viewer experience, offering in-depth analysis and commentary throughout the tour.

Cricket enthusiasts can also keep up with the tour via the Discovery+ app. This accessibility ensures that fans can engage with the tour seamlessly, whether at home or on the go.

This marks the first time that the England Women’s cricket team will be featured on TNT Sports. The broadcaster, formerly known as BT Sport, has previously showcased the team’s tours of Australia and the West Indies. The inclusion of the India tour further solidifies TNT Sports’ commitment to delivering top-notch cricket coverage to its audience.

Meanwhile, the England and Wales Cricket Board (ECB) is yet to unveil a UK television rights deal for the men’s team’s tour of India, scheduled to commence with a five-Test series starting on January 25th. Drawing parallels to the situation in 2021, where Channel 4 secured coverage for the India tour, the ECB is navigating options for broadcasting the men’s team’s matches, opening possibilities for free-to-air (FTA) television coverage, a significant development since 2005.

TNT Sports kicked off its coverage with the first T20I on December 6, with England claiming a 38-run win. Fans can mark their calendars for the second match, scheduled for December 9.
