Timberwolves, Lynx and U.S. Bank Announce Multi-Year Partnership Extension

The Minnesota Timberwolves, Lynx, and U.S. Bank have extended their partnership in a multi-year deal, continuing one of the longest-standing collaborations in sports history.

U.S. Bank has supported the Timberwolves since 1989, marking a decades-long relationship with the franchise.

Commenting on this partnership, David King, senior vice president of corporate partnerships for the Timberwolves and Lynx, said, “We are proud to continue our decades-long partnership with U.S. Bank.”

“From court renovations through the Our Future platform to launching the U.S. Bank Backcourt Club at Target Center and being named the sixth Lynx Changemaker.

“We look forward to the years ahead,” he said.

The newly launched U.S. Bank Backcourt Club at Target Center will enhance fan experiences, offering a premium club located at the arena’s floor level.

The club, accessible through a private entrance, boasts a sophisticated bar and lounge, exclusive food and drink offerings, and a grab-and-go market.

Michael Lacorazza, chief marketing officer for U.S. Bank, discussed the partnership’s alignment with the bank’s core values.

“We’ve been on this journey with the franchises for decades and look forward to creating many more experiences and memories for the Twin Cities community,” Lacorazza said.

“Adding our brand as a Changemaker partner with the Lynx also aligns well with our mission and give-back culture as an organization,” he said.

As part of the extended partnership, U.S. Bank has been named the sixth Lynx Changemaker partner.

The Lynx Changemakers initiative empowers young girls, champions women’s sports, and nurtures the next generation of female leaders in Minnesota.

The platform, aligned with the Women’s National Basketball Association (WNBA) Changemakers framework, sees the Lynx as the first WNBA team to implement the programme locally.

Financial contributions from each Lynx Changemaker partnership support Minneapolis-based organisations that aim to inspire change through sports and invest in young girls’ futures.

This partnership extension continues to fuel impactful initiatives both on and off the court, offering crucial resources to develop Minnesota’s next generation of leaders.
