Tiktok Agree Multi-Year Global Content Partnership With UFC

Tiktok have continued their recent string of announcements in the sports streaming world, signing a multi-year partnership agreement with the Ultimate Fighting Championship (UFC).

The agreement will see a variety of content posted on the app, including pre and post-fight access, behind-the-scenes footage, and engagement with UFC athletes.

At 6.3 million followers, UFC is currently the third most popular sports league on Tiktok, behind the NBA (12.3m) and WWE (10.2m).

UFC senior vice-president, David Shaw, said he is pleased the UFC has yet another outlet to enable fans to interact with the sport.

“This partnership with Tiktok is a tremendous addition to UFC’s content distribution ecosystem,” Shaw said.

“We want to be everywhere our fans are consuming content and Tiktok continues to break new ground in reaching a diverse, global audience.

“This collaboration is a great way to drive awareness to our tent pole live events while delivering compelling content to our fans, 24/7,” he said.

The announcement comes just days after Tiktok were announced as the official partner for the upcoming EURO 2020 tournament.

The UFC saw significant growth on social platforms in 2020, with its Facebook, Instagram, and Youtube pages all seeing significant growth.

The UFC is claiming close to ten billion views on #UFC content alone.
