Tennis Australia has appointed Bupa as the Official Healthcare Partner and Digital Health Partner of the Australian Open, in a multi-year deal that extends the insurer’s footprint in major event partnerships while advancing Tennis Australia’s focus on health and inclusion.

As part of the agreement, Bupa will also serve as the Supporting Partner of All Abilities Day during the tournament and the Presenting Partner of the inaugural All Abilities Week in October 2025. Both initiatives align with Bupa’s broader investment in accessible and inclusive sport, complementing its partnerships with Paralympics Australia and Disability Sports Australia.

The partnership provides Bupa a platform to showcase its digital health technology, including its Blua platform, designed to make healthcare more connected and personalised. For Tennis Australia, the collaboration reinforces the Australian Open’s growing reputation as one of the world’s most inclusive sporting events.

Tennis Australia Chief Commercial Officer, Cedric Cornelis, said the partnership reflects a shared mission to promote health and accessibility.

“We’re proud to partner with Bupa to champion health and inclusion at the Australian Open. Whether it’s through All Abilities Day or offering more ways for people to pick up a racquet, this collaboration is about ensuring the AO continues to lead the way in creating a healthier, more inclusive sporting experience for everyone,” Cornelis said.

Bupa APAC CEO, Nick Stone, added that the partnership highlights sport’s role in improving community wellbeing.

“As the Official Healthcare Partner and Digital Health Partner of the Australian Open 2026, we feel privileged to be supporting the wellbeing of fans both on and off the court, and elevating the importance of inclusive and preventive health,” Stone added.

The initiative forms part of Tennis Australia’s ongoing investment in social impact programming, designed to make tennis more accessible to people with disability. All Abilities Day (27 January 2026) will feature multiple tennis formats wheelchair, blind and low vision, parastanding, intellectual disabilities, autism, and deaf and hard of hearing tennis across the Melbourne Park precinct.

From a commercial perspective, the partnership underscores the Australian Open’s continued appeal to major corporate partners beyond traditional sports categories. Bupa will leverage the event’s global platform to reinforce its brand positioning around holistic health and inclusion, while offering customer activations such as two-for-one Ground Passes during select tournament days.
