Tennis Australia has announced realestate.com.au as their Official Real Estate Partner of the Australian Open in a landmark multi-year agreement.
The partnership, which officially launches for AO26, aims to capitalise on the unique intersection of Australia’s dual national obsessions: property and elite sport.
Commenting on the partnership, Tennis Australia chief commercial officer, Cedric Cornelis, said: “The AO is all about bringing people together, and realestate.com.au is a brand Australians know and trust.”
“This partnership is designed with fans in mind… bringing another fun, feel-good element to the AO experience for fans all summer long,” Cornelis said.
To support the launch, realestate.com.au has released a bespoke campaign featuring Australian tennis icon Pat Rafter.
The creative, developed by agency 72andSunny, features Rafter engaging with fans in the stands about property listings between sets.
Noting the strategic timing of the summer campaign, REA group general manager audience and marketing, Sarah Myers, added: “Over the summer months, Australians are at home thinking about upgrading, downsizing, or making a sea or tree change.”
“The national conversation anchors to property and sport, so it was the perfect fit,” Myers said.
The program includes a high-visibility media rollout, featuring virtual on-court signage across Rod Laver Arena, Margaret Court Arena, and John Cain Arena.
To deepen fan interaction, the property portal has established an on-site activation area within The Village precinct.
Over the finals weekend, the organisation will host the “realestate.com.au Rally,” providing fans with the honour of hitting with tennis legends for a chance to win various prizes.
The agreement also includes an extensive broadcast partnership with Nine, integrating realestate.com.au into live coverage via sponsored segments such as “Aussies in Action.”
This multi-channel approach ensures the brand remains recognisable to millions of viewers across the United Cup, Adelaide International, and Brisbane International throughout the January swing.
