TCL Electronics Becomes F1 Australian Grand Prix Partner

Ahead of the Formula One (F1) Australian Grand Prix 2022 on 8-10 April, the event has named global TV and consumer electronics company, TCL Electronics, as its official television partner.

As part of a one-year partnership, TCL televisions will be set up throughout all the Albert Park precinct’s hospitality facilities to make it easier for fans and commercial partners to view the event.

The partnership is the latest for the Australian Grand Prix, after the event signed up Heineken as the title sponsor of in January.

Australian Grand Prix Corporation general manager of sales & commercial, Michelle Greco, said: “With the best visual and sound experiences on offer across all of our hospitality suites, TCL will make you feel closer to the on-track action than ever before.”

“It’s been three years since we witnessed Formula 1 cars roar around the Albert Park Grand Prix Circuit – our partnership with TCL will make sure you won’t miss a single moment,” Greco said.

Elsewhere in the lead up to the F1 Australian Grand Prix, the event is set to sell out for the first time in its 26-year history, with a crowd of up to 130,000 expected to attend on 10 April for the main race at Albert Park.

The qualifying events in the lead up to the 10 April race are also expected to draw 100,000 fans as the organisers hope for the event to become the highest attended sporting event in Australia since the start of the COVID-19 pandemic.

The high level of public interest in the initial pre-sale of tickets led to the organisers announcing they would add five new grandstands in order to fit more fans into the venue, with the extra tickets all selling out within a day of their release.
