Sydney Sixers score major sponsorship win with Merlin

Big Bash League franchise Sydney Sixers have unveiled a sponsorship agreement with Merlin, recognised as the world’s largest manufacturer of automatic garage door openers.

The partnership designates Merlin as the official partner of the Sixers for the ongoing season, solidifying their presence in professional cricket.

As part of this collaboration, the Merlin logo will take pride of place on the back of the Sixers’ distinctive magenta and black playing shirts.

“We are very excited to be partnering with the Sydney Sixers,” expressed Tim Anderson, Chamberlain Group Director of Marketing & Experience.

“As one of the iconic sporting teams in Australia, the Sydney Sixers have inspired many people around the country. The Sydney Sixers have been successful over a long period of time by continuing to innovate.

“Similarly, the Merlin brand has also remained at the top of its game by providing modern, convenient and safe garage and gate solutions for families and households across Australia.”

Ben Hirschfeld, Cricket NSW’s General Manager, also hailed the partnership.

“The Sydney Sixers have been one of the success stories of the BBL since it began 12 summers ago,” he said.

“Just like the Sixers, Merlin has a proven track record and is a leader in its field. Merlin offers a safe and smart access solution which is vital to families across Sydney and beyond. A Sixers match is one of the more fun, exciting parts of summer and we want all of our fans to be able to return to a safe and secure home.”

In addition to the Merlin collaboration, the Sydney Sixers have further strengthened their team off the field by welcoming Lite n’ Easy as the official nutritional partner for BBL|13, demonstrating a commitment to comprehensive partnerships that enhance both the team’s performance and the fan experience.
