The Sydney Sixers have announced a new partnership with telecommunications provider Belong, which will last for the next three years. Belong, Australia’s first carbon-neutral telecommunications service provider, is known for its expertise in the industry. Initially offering internet plans after its launch by Telstra in 2013, Belong later expanded into mobile services. In 2019, they became certified carbon neutral and have received industry awards for their commitment to making the digital world simple, accessible, and affordable.

This partnership marks Belong’s first major sporting sponsorship and their first time serving as the principal partner for both the Sixers’ BBL and WBBL teams. It reflects Belong’s dedication to inclusivity. The Sixers, a successful club with five-time W/BBL championships, have a long-standing reputation for on-field excellence. Off the field, they strive to create a culture that celebrates the uniqueness of all fans and players and fosters a sense of belonging for everyone, which aligns perfectly with Belong’s values.

Rachael Haynes, Head of Sydney Sixers, expressed her excitement about the partnership, stating, “The Sixers are extremely proud to partner with Belong for the next three years. This is an exciting milestone for both organizations, as it represents Belong’s first major sports partnership and the first time we have a principal partner supporting both our men’s and women’s teams.”

Haynes added, “As a club, we are driven to make a positive impact, whether it’s on our fans, our sport, or the wider community. We want everyone to feel like they belong here at the Sixers. We seek to collaborate with organizations that genuinely care about bringing people together.”

Aaliah Eggins-Bryson, Head of Product and Marketing at Belong, shared how this partnership aligns with their mission of making all Australians feel like they belong. “At Belong, we are committed to supporting communities and initiatives that promote positivity. The Sydney Sixers embody this through their efforts, and we are proud to begin our partnership with such a fantastic club. Sport has a unique ability to unite people, and fostering connections is our top priority at Belong. We are excited to work with the Sydney Sixers to empower athletes from grassroots levels and make cricket more accessible to customers across the country. We especially aim to elevate female participation in sports for fans nationwide.”

Fans can look forward to the Sixers’ opening game of the Weber WBBL|09 season, which takes place on Thursday, October 19, at North Sydney Oval against the Melbourne Stars. The Sixers will also begin their KFC BBL|13 campaign on Friday, December 8, facing the Melbourne Renegades at the SCG. Tickets for both the WBBL|09 and BBL|13 seasons are currently available for purchase.
