Supercars unveils new digital platform to boost fan engagement

The Repco Supercars Championship has announced the launch of a new digital platform, comprising a website and a mobile app, that aims to enhance fan engagement and deliver a superior user experience. The new platform will debut ahead of the 60th anniversary running of the Repco Bathurst 1000.

The new website and app will offer a range of advanced features, such as live timing, real-time commentary, personalised news updates, and exclusive partner offers. The live timing feature will allow users to follow their favourite drivers in real-time during on-track sessions, with access to live data and in-car telemetry. The new platform will also provide rich content and insights on the sport, its drivers, teams, and partners.

The development of the new digital platform is the result of a two-year collaboration between Supercars and Tribal DDB, one of Australia’s leading interactive agencies. The project represents a multi-million-dollar investment by Supercars in its digital strategy and fan-centric approach.

Supercars CEO Shane Howard said: “The launch of our new website and mobile app marks a significant milestone for the Repco Supercars Championship. We’re bringing fans closer to the action than ever before, with real-time insights and immersive features that will make every race an unforgettable experience.”

Tribal DDB National Managing Director Davy Rennie said: “We are proud to have worked closely with Supercars to bring their vision to life with the new Supercars website and mobile app. Together, we’ve created an innovative digital platform that sets a new standard for sports entertainment in Australia.”

The new Supercars website is now live and the app will be launched on September 28th, ahead of the 60th anniversary edition of the Repco Bathurst 1000, taking place October 5-8.
