Supercars Partners With Pizza Hut, Ford Australia

Ahead of the launch of the 2022 Supercars Championship, Supercars has announced Pizza Hut as its official and exclusive quick service restaurant partner.

In addition, Pizza Hut will become an official partner of the Dunlop Super2 Series category and will feature as an official partner of the Supercars Eseries later in the year with their own entry into the esports competition.

As part of the partnership, Pizza Hut signage will be featured on the track map segment of Supercars’ broadcasts and Supercars will work with outlets around the country in local initiatives with driver appearances, consumer promotions, and ticket giveaways targeted at boosting the brand.

Supercars general manager of commercial, Jamie Black, said the addition of Pizza Hut to the Supercars sponsorship portfolio is a sign of the growing strength of the brand.

“We are excited to partner with Pizza Hut and recognise they are a perfect fit with our Supercars brand,” Black said.

“Pizza Hut is all about families, enjoyment and bringing people together and Supercars is well known for welcoming generations of families to our events.

“Our fans are the backbone of our sport, and we are always looking to provide them with a better event experience.

“Bringing a product, the quality of Pizza Hut to our sport is another step in that direction and mutually beneficial for Pizza Hut to showcase their products and services to the Supercars audience,” he said.

Pizza Hut CEO, Phil Reed, said: “It’s great to be partnering with Supercars, a truly national sport with a great regional reach – very similar to Pizza Hut.”

“We can’t wait for supporters to enjoy Pizza Hut and more importantly join with us as we expand throughout Australia over coming years,” Reed said.

Elsewhere, Supercars has announced its official vehicles will be provided by Ford Australia for the 2022 Championship season under a BP Ultimate livery.

The partnership with Ford providing the safety cars for the competition first began in 2019, with the partnership to offer fans experiences around the circuit with the Course Car Experience sessions.

The cars will be in action at every Supercars event throughout the season to ensure the events operate safely and efficiently, beginning at the Beaurepaires Sydney SuperNight from 4-6 March.

Ford Australia marketing communications manager, John Hatzimanolis, said: “Our 2500-strong Australian-based team of engineers, designers, technical and automotive specialists, along with our dealer network, share a passion for Supercars and we can’t wait for the teams to line up on the grid in Sydney for round 1.”

“We are proud to provide Supercars with vehicles from across our range, each meeting a specific need on the track, and enabling the race teams to do what they do best,” Hatzimanolis said.
