St Kilda Football Club has announced its first-ever automotive partnership with Chery Motor Australia, a global leader in innovation and technology. The partnership, which will span three years, coincides with the club’s 150th anniversary and marks a new era of growth and development for both organisations.

St Kilda’s Chief Executive Officer, Simon Lethlean, expressed his  excitement about the partnership, saying, “We are delighted to welcome Chery as our premier automotive sponsor. This is a significant milestone for our club, as we have been looking for a partner in the automotive sector for a long time. We believe we have found the perfect match in Chery, as we share a common vision of innovation and excellence.”

The partnership will see Chery become a Co-Principal partner of St Kilda’s AFL program, as well as a Co-Major partner across the Saints AFLW program. The Chery logo will feature prominently on the back of both teams’ guernseys, as well as on the neckline of the men’s jumper. Additionally, Chery will have branding on off-field apparel for both teams.

Chery Motor Australia’s Managing Director, Andy Zhang, said that the partnership was a unique opportunity for the brand to connect with the Australian sporting audience. He said, “We are thrilled to collaborate with St Kilda, a club with a rich history and a bright future. We are confident that our partnership will enhance our brand awareness and recognition in the Australian market, as we showcase our focus on innovation, style, and performance.”

Chery Motor Australia is part of the Chery global group, which was established in 1997 and has sold more than 12 million cars worldwide. The group operates in over 80 countries and has diversified interests in various industrial sectors such as aviation, shipping, and components.
