ew Balance is set to become St Kilda Football Club’s official apparel partner, after signing a three-year deal with the AFL club.

St Kilda general manager of commercial, Chris Larkins, said the club is excited to be working with New Balance, one of the world’s leading sporting apparel brands.

“New Balance has a rich history which dates back more than 100 years of delivering quality sporting apparel, and they continue to be a leader in innovation and quality,” Larkins said.

“They work alongside some of the largest sporting clubs in the world and it’s exciting to have such a respected brand partnering with the Saints for many years to come.

“We are thrilled to be working with a business that prides itself on innovation and can’t wait to see that come to life through both our on-field and retail programs.

“It will be great to watch the Saints build on the progress made this year in our New Balance apparel and to be able to offer our fans and members right across Australia a great range of merchandise,” he said.

New Balance vice president of Asia Pacific, Darren Tucker, said: “New Balance looks forward to partnering with St Kilda over the next three years.”

“Although our partnership is still young it has been encouraging to work with a club that shares many of the same values as New Balance.

“After such a challenging year for football, New Balance was delighted to see the progress St Kilda made as a club on the field and we are very excited for all the supporters, players and staff as to where the club is heading.

“St Kilda Football Club and New Balance are working closely to ensure our partnership offers all members greater value and we look forward to communicating more about these opportunities shortly,” he said.

The deal follows New Balance announcing a partnership with The School Locker in an effort to drive industry change with a product delivery model aimed to disrupt the current supply chain for educational institutions around Australia.

Bond University was announced as the first university to partner with New Balance Team Sports.
