Sky Thoroughbred Central to Broadcast Inter Dominion Championships

Sky Thoroughbred Central (STC) is set to deliver comprehensive broadcast coverage of the upcoming Inter Dominion Championships, a key event in Australasian harness racing.

This partnership ensures national exposure for both the heat rounds and the finals, held at Albion Park, across STC’s dedicated racing channel.

The commitment follows the successful broadcast of last year’s event and underscores a strategic focus by STC to elevate harness racing within its programming.

The coverage will span a four-week period of concentrated harness racing, commencing with the Redcliffe Gold Cup meeting on Saturday, 28 June.

Each Saturday evening’s showcase will feature a consistent lineup of STC hosts and analysts, including Jason Witham, Ben Way, Ally Mosely, Brittany Graham, Greg O’Connor, Ryan Phelan, and Brandon Kreymborg, aiming to provide in-depth insights for viewers.

Racing Queensland Acting CEO Lachlan Murray expressed optimism regarding the agreement’s significance, particularly for the broader “Constellations series.”

He highlighted the return of the Inter Dominion to Queensland as the “pinnacle of the carnival” and noted the series boasts “record-breaking prize money,” attracting top pacers and trotters from both Australia and New Zealand.

The Inter Dominion Pacing Championship has doubled its prize money to over $1.2 million, including a $1 million Final, while the Trotters Championship Final will offer $500,000, making it Australia’s richest trotting feature.
