Cronulla-Sutherland Sharks “Sharks Have Heart Round”, disability support clients from Stellar Experiences will take part in a unique pre-match performance alongside the Minespec Parts Mermaids this Saturday night.

After dedicating over two months to perfect their dance routine, the talented Stellar Mermaids will share the spotlight with Cronulla’s cheer squad before the highly anticipated Round 14 NRL clash between the Sharks and the Warriors at Sharks Stadium.

This performance is part of a series of touching game-day activations scheduled for the weekend, celebrating the Cronulla club’s strong community connections through its charitable foundation as part of Sharks Have Heart Round.

The collaboration between the Sharks and Stellar Experiences, supported by Quest Apartment Hotels, highlights the commitment to inclusion and fostering a sense of belonging within the community.

Commenting on the inclusion, professional dancer and the driving force behind the Stellar Mermaids initiative at Stellar Experiences, Keely Jamieson, said: “Stellar Mermaids is a 10-week program designed to help participants develop skills to perform like mermaids on game day.”

“Through this program, participants gain confidence, enhance their physical abilities, and feel integrated within the Sharks community,” Jamieson said.

Sydney area manager for Stellar Experiences, Kerela Gallagher, added: “We aim to eliminate barriers faced by individuals living with disabilities.”

NRLW and NSW State of Origin star, and the Sharks’ Equal Access Program Lead, Emma Verran, concluded: “The Sharks are committed to ensuring that all aspects of rugby league, including cheerleading, are accessible and enjoyable for everyone,”

“Teaming up with Stellar Experiences allows us to dismantle barriers and showcase the importance of inclusion. Fans attending the game on Saturday can look forward to an unforgettable experience,” Verran remarked.
