Seven Network To Broadcast World Para Athletics Championships In Dubai

The Seven Network and Athletics Australia have reached a new broadcast agreement for the upcoming 2019 World Para Athletics Championships in Dubai.

For the first time, Australian audiences will have the chance to cheer on the Australian team of 35 athletes live and exclusively on 7PLUS, as well as watch the daily highlights on 7TWO from the World Para Athletics Championships.

CEO Athletics Australia, Darren Gocher, said that the announcement was great for the sport.

“Channel Seven’s groundbreaking coverage of the Championships is fantastic recognition for the sensational athletes that are going to wear the green and gold,” Mr Gocher said.

“Not only will it allow the Australian public to see our athletes shine on the global stage, but it will also give audiences a sense of familiarity with the athletes in the lead up to Tokyo 2020,” he added

The championships will take place from November 7-15.
