Seven Media Group has announced the appointment of senior media executive Nick Bower to the newly created position of Commercial Director, Sport – TV, Audio & Streaming.

The executive appointment consolidates the network’s television, audio, and digital streaming sports sales divisions into a single unified commercial unit across the media group.

Commenting on the appointment, Seven Media Group chief revenue officer, Natalie Harvey, said: “No one in Australia can put a brand inside sport the way we can.”

“We’ve got the big live moments, the conversation on either side of them, and the data that tells us who’s actually in the room.

“Nick’s the right person to bring that together and make it simple for brands to get close to the culture fans care about.

“He’s also a genuine leader. He backs his people, sets a high bar and has a team around him that’s hungry to show the market what this business can do.

“Working hand in hand with Chris Jones and his incredible production team, who bring our sport to life for millions of Australians every week, there’s no limit to what we can create for our partners.

“He’s got big ambitions for this, and so do I,” Harvey said.

Expressing his enthusiasm for returning to the network to lead its integrated commercial team, Seven Media Group commercial director – Sport, TV, Audio & Streaming, Bower, shared: “Sport has an extraordinary ability to bring people together and connect brands with moments that matter.”

“What excites me about joining Seven Media Group right now is not only their phenomenal sports rights line up, but also the opportunity to work alongside the talented team, who deliver unrivalled sports content—something I know first-hand, having spent 10 years of my career at Seven.

“So returning to the network is particularly special.

“Now the opportunity to connect audiences and brands across sport, television, streaming and audio—including Triple M, which I’m a fan of as a listener—opens up the most exciting possibilities to create innovative partnerships, deliver greater value for clients and drive commercial growth for Seven Media Group and its partners,” he said.

Bower brings over two decades of commercial leadership across Australia and the Asia-Pacific region, rejoining Seven Media Group from Paramount Australia & New Zealand, where he held the dual roles of General Manager – Ad Sales and Sport Sales Director.

His extensive sports marketing and media background includes executive tenures as SVP of Partnerships at Football Marketing Asia, VP of Ad Sales & Partnerships (APAC & Middle East) at FOX Sports, and international consulting with True Digital Group, alongside a previous ten-year career at Seven.

Over his career, Bower has overseen commercialisation across linear broadcast, digital, and streaming platforms for major sports properties including the AFL, the Olympic Games, the Australian Open, and Formula 1.

Operational Integration & Strategic Scope

Under the newly restructured commercial framework, the unified sports sales division will provide commercial partners and agencies with a single point of contact across Seven Media Group’s complete sports portfolio.

The operational mandate encompasses several key responsibilities:

  • National Commercial Operations: Bower will oversee specialised sports sales operations across key metro markets in Sydney, Melbourne, Brisbane, and Adelaide.
  • Cross-Platform Monetisation: The division will package sports content dynamically around audience consumption behaviors, driving integrated commercial opportunities across free-to-air broadcast, digital streaming on 7plus, and audio platforms such as Triple M.
  • Production & Executive Collaboration: Bower will partner directly with Seven’s Director of Sport – TV, Audio and Streaming, Chris Jones, aligning commercial packaging with sports broadcast and production strategies from project inception. He will also work alongside executive leadership and legal teams during upcoming rights negotiations and high-level stakeholder partnerships.

Bower will formally assume the role in early 2027, reporting directly to Seven Media Group Chief Revenue Officer Natalie Harvey.
