ledging to provide the most devoted and dedicated sporting coverage of New Zealand’s national teams, Sports Entertainment Network CEO, Craig Hutchinson announced that SENZ will be officially launched on July 19.

Making the announcement at Auckland’s Eden Park just hours after the New Zealand cricket team, the Black Caps, won the World Test Championship, Hutchinson promised SNEZ would “enrich the lives of sports fans each day.

“SENZ is kiwi for sport – and will be a welcome place for all sports fans to engage their passions,” Hutchinson said.

“New Zealand deserves its own 24/7 sports platform across radio, streaming, podcasts and video.

“We can’t wait until July 19 and celebrate the nation’s great love of its sporting heroes and identities,” he said.

Across almost 30 radio stations throughout New Zealand and the SENZ app, the launch will “set the tone” ahead of the delayed Tokyo Olympic Games.

SENZ has obtained the audio rights for the NRL’s NZ Warriors, the A-League’s Wellington Phoenix as well as the New Zealand cricket tour of Australia and many more.

Former Black Caps Captain, Brendon McCullum, said; “July cannot come soon enough… SENZ is what New Zealand is missing.”

“The New Zealand sporting public are very involved, and we love to punch above our weight and have a say,” he said.

McCullum will feature on SENZ’s weekday line up with Israel Dagg on “Bazz and Izzy for Breakfast from 6am- 9am.

Others confirmed in the weekday line up include; Ian Smith 9am-noon, Mark Stafford noon-4pm, Kirstie Stanway and Stephen Donald 4pm-7pm Mondays, Wednesdays and Fridays and Rikki Swannell and Stephen Donald 4pm-7pm Thursdays, with Jason Pine on weeknights.

Sports broadcaster, Ian Smith noted his excitement to be involved with SENZ.

“To be given this opportunity at my age and at this point of my career, getting to build something from the ground up, is phenomenal,” Smith said.
