SENZ, New Zealand’s leading sports media network, has enjoyed an impressive and timely boost in its digital audience. October marked an extraordinary surge in digital growth, solidifying SENZ’s position as the country’s leading hub for sports news and analysis.
On the back of its popular 24/7 radio coverage, SENZ’s various platforms had 4.5 million digital video views for the month.
One of the driving factors behind this surge in traffic was the performance of the All Blacks in the Rugby World Cup. While they narrowly missed securing the title – losing a gripping final to South Africa – the level of interest and excitement generated was astronomical. With New Zealand also embarking on their journey in the Cricket World Cup, cricket enthusiasts have been equally drawn to SENZ for the latest insights.
Throughout the month of October, SENZ attained its largest social media audience to date, amassing 51,000 followers across its various social media platforms. Over 60,000 unique users from New Zealand engaged with the SEN app and website. SENZ also achieved eight million social media impressions through its accounts on platforms like Facebook, X, Instagram and TikTok.
“It has been a thrilling time to be a sports fan in New Zealand, as we rode the wave with the All Blacks at Rugby World Cup 2023,” Reuben Bradley, the Program Manager at SENZ, said.
“It also wasn’t that long ago that the One New Zealand Warriors took us on a similarly exciting journey deep into the playoffs.
“Now we’re right behind the Black Caps as they look to go one better in India at the ODI Cricket World Cup.
“We’re delighted that fans at home and abroad are turning to SENZ for the latest news, analysis and insight, and we’ll continue to give it to them across all our different channels.”
SENZ, the New Zealand arm of Australia’s Sports Entertainment Network, launched in July 2021.
