Sea Eagles Provide Education Pathway With New Partnership

The Manly Warringah Sea Eagles have teamed up with ISCA (International Sports College Australia) as Education Partners for the College’s Diploma of Sports Management (High Performance) course, commencing February 2019.

ISCA will operate alongside the Sea Eagles at the Sydney Academy of Sport in Narrabeen.

Developed by leading industry professionals, the ISCA Diploma of Sports Management (High Performance) course provides students with an innovative blend of training, coaching, learning and mentoring to develop an edge in the sports industry, whilst offering a platform for students to improve athletic performance in a high-performance environment.

“The Sydney Academy of Sport is already the home of the Sea Eagles and will also now be the home of ISCA,” General Manager of ISCA, Mr Ian Evans said.

“It makes sense to align ISCA with a professional NRL club such as the Sea Eagles and we are delighted that the Club has embraced the opportunity to work with our students and staff.”

ISCA is owned, governed and operated by the prestigious ICMS (International College of Management Sydney), Australia’s leading management college, based in the heart of Sea Eagles territory, overlooking Manly Beach.

As part of the partnership launched today, ISCA will be awarding one young up-and-coming player from within the Sea Eagles Elite Pathways Program a scholarship for the Diploma of Sports Management (High Performance).

“We’re anticipating strong interest in the Diploma from members of our Elite Pathways playing group and the wider community,” Sea Eagles Elite Pathways Program Manager, Kristie Fulton said.

“We have a holistic view of player development and it’s important for us to ensure we support the growth of our players both on and off the field.

We encourage our young players to be life-long learners, so to formalise a partnership of this nature gives us a great opportunity to reinforce the importance of education for rugby league players and young adults in general,” Fulton added.
