ResMed Partner With 2019 Presidents Cup As Official Sleep Health Provider

ResMed has partnered with the 2019 Presidents Cup as the official sleep health provider, in an effort to educate fans and volunteers about sleep health.

As part of the deal, the 2019 Presidents Cup, which is taking place in Melbourne at The Royal Melbourne Golf Club for the third time, will feature the ResMed Performance Lounge and the Volunteer Rest Zone provided by ResMed.

In addition, ResMed is also holding a competition involving ‘fatigue goggles’ and a simulation experience emulating the 18th hole at Royal Melbourne, offering the chance to win a golfing getaway to Queenstown, New Zealand.

ResMed’s general manager for Australia and New Zealand, Catherine Delamare, said partnering with the Presidents Cup is a great opportunity for ResMed to share their knowledge and the benefits of good sleep.

“We are thrilled to partner with a premier event like the Presidents Cup to spread awareness about the importance of sleep health.

“Golf is a mind game as much as a physical one and you need good sleep to be at your best,” she said.

“Good sleep has many positive benefits; we all feel better after a good night’s sleep.

“But unfortunately for many people either physiological factors or lifestyle pressure get in the way of our good intentions.

“Almost half of us don’t get the amount of sleep we need and that affects our health, as well as our families and the community.

“But it doesn’t need to be this way, many sleep issues are treatable, so much of this is avoidable.

“We want more Australians to be aware of the options when they have sleep health questions and to make it easier to access the existing treatments,” Delamare said.

Presidents Cup executive director, Matt Kamienski, said ResMed’s help in preparing for the 2019 Presidents Cup will make it an unmatched event in golf.

“We expect our fans and volunteers to fully embrace the unique offerings provided by ResMed.

“From having a presence in what will be the central hub of activity in the Fan Village, to providing a reprieve to our dedicated volunteers, ResMed has gone above and beyond in helping us make this the best Presidents Cup yet,” Mr Kamienski said.

In its return to Melbourne for the third time, the 2019 Presidents Cup will feature an International Team, led by Captain Ernie Els, taking on the U.S. Team led by Captain Tiger Woods from December 9-15.
