Repco Extends Partnership with Shell V-Power Racing Team Through 2027

Repco and the Shell V-Power Racing Team (Dick Johnson Racing) have announced a partnership renewal, ensuring the iconic automotive brand remains a Premium Partner of Australia’s oldest Supercars organisation.

The extension guarantees the partnership will reach a landmark 10-year milestone during the 2027 season, solidifying one of the most stable commercial relationships in the pit lane.

As the naming rights partner for both the Repco Supercars Championship and the Repco Bathurst 1000, maintaining a direct team-level presence with a powerhouse like DJR allows the brand to execute high-touch fan engagement programs.

For Repco, the deal is anchored in a historical narrative; founder Dick Johnson famously worked as a “parts jockey” at a Repco store in Woolloongabba in the early 1960s, a job that provided the funds for his first racing car.

Commenting on the collaboration, Repco chief merchandise and growth officer, Wayne Bryant, said: “Our collaboration with Shell V-Power Racing Team really complements our ongoing partnership with the Repco Supercars Championship and the Repco Bathurst 1000.”

“These initiatives are key pillars of our ongoing commitment to our customers and Supercar fans,” Bryant said.

Shell V-Power Racing Team CEO, Megan Foster, emphasised that the renewal provides commercial certainty as the squad enters a transformative era.

“There’s a lot to be said about loyalty in motorsport and to know that we’ll be celebrating a decade of partnership in 2027 is something that means so much to us,” Foster said.”

“The partnership will move beyond livery placement, with “exciting plans” to reward the team’s extensive member base through Repco’s retail network, Foster noted.

The branding will continue to feature on the rear quarter panels of the team’s Gen3 Ford Mustangs. The 2026 campaign carries a competitive weight for the partnership, following the signing of reigning champion Brodie Kostecki, who will pilot the legendary #17. He is joined by highly-rated rookie Rylan Gray in the #38, providing Repco with a blend of elite performance and emerging talent to lead their marketing activations.

The 2026 season officially commences at Sydney Motorsport Park on 20–22 February, where the Repco-branded Mustangs will make their competitive debut for the new year.
