Red Bull has officially began operations of its new esports venue, the Red Bull Gaming Sphere Aarhus, in collaboration with C4 Gaming. Located in Tech City Aarhus, the venue will be the largest of its kind in the world and will be the center of Red Bull’s gaming and esports activities in Denmark and Northern Europe.
The venue features multiple gaming spaces, including a dedicated esports arena, streaming rooms, a console area, a boot camp room, and a Bytes takeaway restaurant, among other areas. It will also have more than 160 PC gaming stations.
According to Esports Insider, the venue will hold 30 annual events, ranging from watch parties and game releases to major tournaments and leagues.
Hassan Abdirahman, CEO of C4 Gaming, shared his enthusiasm for the collaboration: “We are honored and proud that Red Bull has chosen to collaborate with us on their Red Bull Gaming Sphere concept in Denmark, and we look forward to being able to invite everyone to a premium gaming experience when we open the doors on April 21st.” This marks the fourth dedicated gaming center opened by the energy drink company, after Tokyo, London, and Stockholm.
Red Bull has also been a big stakeholder within the gaming and esports space, having a strong presence across different esports titles and creating its own sponsored events like the Red Bull Solo Q. Earlier this year, Red Bull announced a partnership with Spanish esports organization Team Heretics.
