ports merchandise giant, Fanatics, has announced a ten-year partnership with Australian sports retail company, Rebel, marking Fanatics first partnership with an Australian retailer.

The deal will see Australians now have access to over 100,000 officially licensed products from the NFL, NBA, MLB, Formula One, and all major European football clubs.

The partnership starts in 2021, with Fanatics to become the exclusive supplier of US sports licensed team merchandise on the Rebel website, meaning Rebel will offer thousands of new products not available with any other retailer in Australia.

Rebel managing director, Gary Williams, said the deal is a big win for Australian sports fans.

“Australians love their sport,” Williams said.

“Teaming up with powerhouse sports fan brand, Fanatics, is a terrific win for Rebel customers who are loyal and passionate fans of sporting teams both here in Australia and across the globe,” he said.

Fanatics international general manager and head of corporate development, Zohar Ravid, said Fanatics will see a large rise in global reach by partnering with Rebel.

“Rebel was already one of the leading destinations for Australian sports fans but now, thanks to this new partnership, these fans will have even more choice and similar access to official merchandise as local fans in the US or Europe,” Ravid said.

“For our 300+ global partners, this partnership provides the opportunity to reach a large Australian fanbase through the most dominant local retailer, reaching even more fans worldwide,” he said.
