Rangers FC Partners With EA SPORTS And FIFA

Scottish football club, Rangers, has announced a multi-year partnership with game publisher, EA SPORTS, giving FIFA players the chance to experience authentic club content.

The deal will see EA SPORTS become the exclusive video game partner of the club, which also gives them a presence in the Ibrox Stadium.

Additionally, Rangers will have a fully licensed team on the final edition of the FIFA franchise, FIFA 23, which will be the start of several esports initiatives that benefit the club.

Commenting on the partnership, Rangers commercial and marketing director, James Bisgrove, said: “This is a truly exciting partnership for the club, and I think it speaks volumes for the standing Rangers has on the international stage that such a recognisable brand like EA Sports FIFA were so eager to enter into a partnership with the club.”

“The world of esports is growing at unprecedented levels, and this partnership will allow us to fully enter this space with a meaningful strategy and strong partner in the sector,” he said.

EA SPORTS FIFA marketing director, James Salmon, added: “We’re thrilled to have Rangers join the EA Sports family.”

“This partnership will enable us to continue to deliver authentic and comprehensive interactive football experiences to Rangers fans in FIFA 23 and beyond,” he said.

The news comes after Sam Kerr was named as the first female cover star of the video game franchise.

Tickets are now available for the fourth annual Women In Sport Summit, which will provide real stories, skills and career moves, from administrators to athletes, and will give a platform for honest conversations and exclusive networking opportunities, with game-changing discussions about the growth, value, and the future of women in sport.
