PGA Tour To Create NFT Platform With Autograph

The PGA Tour has partnered with NFT Platform Autograph, to create a comprehensive ‘digital collectibles’ NFT platform for fans to own bits of golfing history.

Fans will be given the opportunity to collect their NFT’s featuring their favourite golfers and moments from the PGA Tour’s archive, as well as moments from the current FedExCup season.

Additionally, collectors will earn rewards through access to digital, in-person and onsite experiences, along with other programs.

Commenting on the partnership, PGA Tour chief legal officer and EVP, licensing, Len Brown, said: “The PGA Tour is excited to work with Autograph to offer digital collectibles that highlight the most talented golfers in the world and their role in the sport’s history.”

“The tour is continuously looking for innovative ways to engage fan to bring them closer to the game and their favourite players, so we’re thrilled to start building the future of gold fandom with the Autograph team,” he said.

Autograph co-founder and co-chariman of the board, Richard Rosenblatt, added, “We a thrilled to expand our roster of iconic partners with the addition of the PGA Tour as our first professional league.”

“Over the last year, we have defined the future of fandom by leveraging NFT technology to bring ans closer to the icons they love across sports, music and entertainment each week,” he said.

The new platform will launch in early 2023.

The announcement of this new platform follows several other sports leagues launching their own NFT programs, including the NFL.
