NRL Touch Football Partners With Gage Roads Brew Co

NRL Touch Football has announced a new three-year partnership, with Gage Roads Brew Co becoming the official beer of the competition.

As part of the deal, Gage Roads will also gain naming rights of the organisation’s new beach touch tournaments which are set for expansion after initially running in Perth and Broome.

The partnership will see Gage Roads beers supplied across touch fields around the country, with the brand to hold pourage rights and preferred supplier rights at select Touch Football Australia tournaments and major events.

Touch Football Australia CEO, Jamie O’Connor, said the deal will improve the atmosphere at Touch Football events around Australia.

“For as long as people have been playing our sport, touch footballers have responsibly enjoyed a social beverage after a game or tournament,” O’Connor said.

“I am certain that when the first game was played in 1968 that a couple of beers were shared afterwards.

“The social element of our sport and good times shared with mates go hand in hand with enjoying Gage Road’s brews especially over the summer months.

“Gage Roads are fast emerging as one of Australia’s biggest independent brewers and we’re excited to be a part of that journey,” he said.

Good Drinks Australia national events and partnership manager, James Whelan, said: “Gage Roads Brew Co is stoked to jump on board with NRL Touch Football.”

“There’s nothing like a refreshing beer while watching the action from the sideline, stands, or post-game with your teammates.

“Being independent and local, Gage Roads Brew Co couldn’t be prouder to provide our range of refreshing beers and cider for those moments,” Whelan said.
