Additionally, Nine will broadcast elite international events like the Pan Pacific Championships in 2026 and 2030.

Nine’s Acting CEO, Matt Stanton, expressed pride in the partnership: “Sport is part of our DNA at Nine, and this partnership ensures Swimming Australia has the backing and support of Nine as we head towards Brisbane 2032 and beyond.”

Iconic Moments to Inspire Generations

Swimming has delivered some of Australia’s most iconic Olympic moments. Nine’s swimming coverage of the 2024 Olympic and Paralympic Trials reached an audience of 5.7 million, making it one of the most-watched sporting events in the country.

Nine’s Director of Sport, Brent Williams, highlighted the importance of showcasing the sport year-round:
“This deal allows Wide World of Sports to follow our big-name athletes and spotlight rising stars destined to dominate in LA 2028 and Brisbane 2032.”

A Transformative Opportunity for Swimming Australia

The partnership represents a pivotal moment for Swimming Australia. CEO Rob Woodhouse emphasised the far-reaching impact: “This brings unprecedented exposure to our national teams and the next generation of athletes, ensuring the visibility of our Dolphins inspires all Australians to swim and improve their well-being.”

Commercial EGM Jodie Hawkins called the agreement a cornerstone for the sport’s growth: “This relationship is pivotal for delivering high-quality events to fans and expanding the influence of swimming. It sets the platform for the sport to build its profile and cement itself as one of Australia’s iconic and most-loved sports.”

Brisbane 2032 and Beyond
