The NFL Foundation and LISC partnership has been a game changer for communities across the country, giving children and families access to safe and well-maintained football fields.
The $3 million grant from the NFL Foundation will make a significant impact in the 16 cities and towns selected for the program, and as the program continues to grow and evolve, it will continue to make a difference in communities nationwide.
Commenting on the partnership, NFL Foundation vice president of philanthropy and executive director, Alexia Gallagher, said: “We’re proud to continue our work with LISC on the Grassroots Field Grant program through refurbishing and building fields across the country.”
“Through these grants, we’re able to provide safe and reliable areas for youth to play in their communities, which is more important than ever,” she said.
LISC VP of sports and recreation, Beverly Smith, added: “Outdoor recreation and the health benefits that come with it are in high demand throughout the country.”
“These new fields – like all of those the NFL Grassroots Program has funded over the years – will provide opportunities for young people to compete in safe, healthy, structured environments,” she said.
The announcement comes after the NFL partnered with TCL in a long-term deal.
