NFL Announces Appointment Of New CFO

The National Football League (NFL) has announced the appointment of Christine Dorfler as its new chief financial officer.

Dorfler brings with her over two decades of experience from her previous position as CFO of NBC Sports, where she oversaw all NFL media partnerships as well as contracts with the International Olympic Committee, NASCAR, English Premier League, college football, and college basketball.

At the NFL, Dorfler will be responsible for leading the finance and league strategy functions, reporting directly to Commissioner Roger Goodell.

She will work closely with the senior leadership team and the league’s 32 clubs to continue positioning the NFL for long-term growth.

Commenting on her appointment, Dorfler, said: “I’m honoured to join such a world-class organisation and team at the NFL.”

“I learned the NFL’s impact firsthand at NBC and look forward to working collaboratively as the league continues to push boundaries in media and business,” she said.

Goodell, added: “We’re excited to welcome Christine to the NFL family.”

“She is an incredibly well-rounded finance executive who is both operational and strategic.

“Her industry expertise along with her results-driven approach make her uniquely qualified to take on this challenge in a changing media and business landscape,” he said.

In her previous role, Dorfler had a significant impact on modernising NBCUniversal by expanding to a digital model.

She has also served as the CFO of the NBC and Telemundo Owned Television Stations.
