New Jersey Devils take on RWJBarnabas Health as first jersey patch sponsor

The National Hockey League’s New Jersey Devils have marked a significant milestone in their franchise history by announcing RWJBarnabas Health as their inaugural jersey patch sponsor.

The partnership solidifies RWJBarnabas Health as the official home jersey patch partner of the Devils, with branding seamlessly integrated into various team activities and community engagements.

Under the terms of the contract, RWJBarnabas Health’s logo will be prominently featured on the Devils’ home jerseys, symbolising a deep commitment to community health and wellness. This partnership extends beyond mere branding, with both parties collaborating on initiatives aimed at engaging youth hockey programs across New Jersey.

RWJBarnabas Health will retain its role as the presenting partner of the Devils’ annual Hockey Fights Cancer Night, a poignant event dedicated to raising awareness and funds for cancer research and support programs. The healthcare network will continue to provide essential medical services to the Devils, including team physicals, imaging, lab work and injury prevention strategies and treatment for players.

Devils defenseman Dougie Hamilton is set to launch Dougie’s Buddies, a community program aimed at fostering positive relationships and support networks among local youth.

This jersey patch agreement represents a multi-year extension of the longstanding partnership between the Devils and RWJBarnabas Health, spanning nearly three decades. Through the collaboration, both entities will leverage shared resources to enhance community health initiatives and bolster youth hockey programs across the state of New Jersey.

“We are beyond excited to extend our long-standing partnership with the largest academic health care system in New Jersey, RWJBarnabas Health, and together unveil the first-ever jersey patch partner for the New Jersey Devils,” beamed Jake Reynolds, President of the New Jersey Devils and Prudential Centre.

“Together with RWJBarnabas Health, we will continue to play an instrumental role in supporting youth hockey programmes, fulfill our shared vision of building healthier communities throughout New Jersey and help support the highest level of care for our athletes.”

The RWJBarnabas Health logo made its debut on the Devils’ jerseys during their recent game against the New York Rangers on February 22.
