New Balance has officially showcased the new playing kits for both the KFC Big Bash League (BBL) and Weber WBBL, marking the next phase in its apparel partnership with Cricket Australia (CA) and the leagues’ eight clubs.

The new designs, revealed at a launch event in Melbourne’s Queensbridge Square, signal the brand’s intent to strengthen its positioning within Australian cricket’s commercial landscape.

Executive general manager of Big Bash Leagues, Alistair Dobson, said the release represents a fresh chapter in the League’s iconic summer story, commending the effort between New Balance and the clubs in developing a fresh look that matches the energy and excitement of the Big Bash Leagues.

The new range incorporates New Balance’s performance technology and custom club-led designs, positioning the kits as both functional and marketable assets. The products will make their on-field debut on 9 November, coinciding with the opening weekend of the WBBL|11 season.

Beyond the On-field Rollout

Executive general manager of New Balance AUNZ, Dean Howard, emphasised the creative and strategic collaboration between partners including CA, Big Bash clubs, and Belgravia Apparel, New Balance’s Australasian manufacturing partner.

“We’re proud to stand alongside the Big Bash League in launching this season’s playing kits, a bold step forward in our shared commitment to innovation and performance.”

“Collaborating with Cricket Australia, Big Bash Clubs and Belgravia Apparel has been an inspiring journey that’s pushed creative boundaries and delivered a look that truly captures the spirit of summer cricket,” said Howard.

The Big Bash Leagues continue to serve as a high-profile commercial platform for apparel and performance brands, offering exposure through national broadcast coverage and a strong family-focused audience base.
