Netball New Zealand bid to host 2023 World Cup
Netball New Zealand has put their hand up and officially declared their interest in hosting the 2023 World Cup.
The organisation has submitted their vision to the International Netball Federation with plans to host the event in Auckland.
Netball South Africa has also put in a bid to secure the competition to Cape Town.
New Zealand Rugby is also chasing the opportunity to stage the 2021 Women’s World Cup, with both bids having the backing of both central and local government.
The next World Cup will be in England in August next year, where the Silver Ferns will look to go one better than their silver medal in 2015.
