NBL Collaborates With Euroleague And Secures New Streaming Rights

The National Basketball League (NBL) has secured the streaming rights to the Euroleague Basketball competitions, giving basketball fans in Australia more viewing options on the league’s subscription platform, NBL TV.

NBL TV will live stream each week up to four selected games of the European top competitions, with full game replays, highlights of all games and condensed game replays to be available on demand.

NBL Commissioner, Jeremy Loeliger, said: “Euroleague Basketball competitions coming to NBL TV gives Australian basketball fans another platform to watch their favourite players and teams like FC Barcelona, Real Madrid, FC Bayern Munich, Maccabi FOX Tel Aviv and Olympiacos Piraeus.

“Australian basketball is enjoying a golden era and our players in Europe have been major factors in growing the Australian basketball footprint at an international level.

“We look forward to providing fans with the opportunity to watch the best Euroleague Basketball has to offer, along with enjoying all the great Hungry Jack’s NBL content already available on NBL TV.”

Euroleague Basketball Marketing and Communication Senior Director, Alex Ferrer Kristjansson, said:  “We are very happy to widen our reach in Australia by offering a new platform to all our Aussie fans to follow Euroleague Basketball games.

“Australian players have had a continuous presence in our competitions, showing the good level of Australian basketball and the enormous work developed by NBL.

“This is a clear example of how two basketball organisations can improve their reach by collaborating together, creating synergies that positively impact the fan.”

Along with Euroleague Basketball, the $5 NBL TV subscription also gives users access to every game of the Hungry Jack’s NBL Season live, with game replays, over 300 hours of classic NBL games and more.
