NASCAR Renews Long-Term Partnership

NASCAR has extended their long-running partnership with Goodyear Tyre and Rubber Company.

Goodyear first sponsored NASCAR in 1954 and will continue to be the official tyre of NASCAR and the title sponsor of the Goodyear 400, the Throwback Weekend Cup Series at Darlington.

Over the past 70 years, the partnership has been synonymous with the evolution of tyre technologies, including the racing slick, radial tyre, multi-zone tread design and more recently the 18-inch tyre.

Goodyear have produced over 100,000 tyres annually for NASCAR and will continue to do so under the latest deal.

Commenting on the manufacturing process, Goodyear chairman, Richard J. Kramer, said: “From our manufacturing plants to offices around the world, racing is ingrained in our culture, and the importance of our relationship with NASCAR is reflected in the quality, performance and engineering we put into every Goodyear Eagle race tire.”
