inistry of Sport, in association with the Sunshine Coast Council, has announced the Women in Sport Summit 2021, taking place on June 25 at USC Stadium, the home of the Sunshine Coast Lightning.

Behind the campaign slogan, ‘Rise Up!’, Ministry of Sport is excited to bring the third annual Women in Sport Summit, bringing some of the most prestigious names in the industry together to provide exclusive access to coveted conversations and game changing discussions.

Ministry of Sport said it hopes to inspire women to rise up and dream, believe, create and succeed, after the 2020 edition was put on hold due to the COVID-19 pandemic.

At the latest edition, which was held in 2019, the Women in Sport Summit hosted several key speakers from across the sports business industry with an invested interest in women’s sport, including AFL general manager of women’s football, Nicole Livingstone, Cricket Australia interim CEO, Nick Hockley, and FIFA Women’s World Cup 2023 chief operating officer for Australia, Jane Fernandez at the 2019 edition of the Summit.

This 2019 edition of the Summit sparked industry-wide conversations and change from grassroots to the elite level which is still being activated in 2021.

Labelled the most exclusive women’s sporting event of the year, the Summit will be an unmatched industry networking opportunity for sports business professionals, with more information to come in the lead up regarding speakers, topics, and key stakeholders.

Speaking on the announcement, Ministry of Sport founder, Ben Parsons, said: “A must attend equality event, a live experience celebrating women and the brands who support them, all while leveraging successful networking opportunities.”

Along with the announcement, Ministry of Sport have released a promo video across their social platforms and has revealed the first speakers and ticket pricing and information will be announced at the end of April.

Known widely as Australia’s premier sports business news platform, Ministry of Sport has shown a continued commitment to covering women’s sport and helping foster a period of growth for women’s sport.
