Ministry of Sport And MKTG Announce Women In Sport Summit

MKTG, Dentsu Aegis Network’s sports and lifestyle operations business, is partnering with The Ministry of Sport (MOS) to deliver the second annual Women in Sport Summit.

Held at Lakeside Stadium Melbourne on Thursday 7 March, the premium one-day event invites sport & entertainment decision makers, stakeholders and aspirants to partake in a day of inspiration, networking and insights.

With three streams covering the key themes of the Technology of Sport, People of Sport and Value of Sport, delegates will hear from over 18 speakers hailing from academic, media, sports, marketing and technology backgrounds.  Some of the biggest names in sport will present, including:

  • Westpac Group
  • Cricket Australia
  • Queensland Rugby League
  • Nielsen
  • Basketball Australia
  • AFL

The Women in Sport Summit will inform, engage and inspire all those who are currently in the sports industry, with sessions focused on

  • Individual or company’s strategies on how to progress women in sport
  • Stories from sporting organisations on how they’re progressing women in sport
  • The True Value of Women’s Sport
  • Opportunities for brands who spend money in sport

Speaking of the event, Ministry of Sport founder, Ben Parsons, said: “The Women in Sport Summit will drive conversation around the evolution of women in sport. It’s time we change the way we talk about women in sport, in order to progress women in sport. It requires collaboration between men and women to help lift each other up.”
