UFC, the leading mixed martial arts organisation and a part of TKO Group Holdings, has revealed a significant multiyear partnership with Meta, aimed at enhancing engagement with its expansive global fanbase, which spans hundreds of millions.
In a notable move, Meta will serve as UFC’s first official fan technology partner, collaborating to utilise its advanced technology platforms and products.
Commenting on the partnership, UFC president and CEO, Dana White, said: “I’ve had a lot of great partners over the years that have helped us grow this sport, but Mark and his team at Meta are going to do things that will blow away UFC fans.”
“Meta has the greatest minds in tech and they are going to take fan engagement to the next level.
“We’ve already started to work on some innovations with Meta around a new fighter rankings system that I’ll be sharing soon.
“The next few years will be an absolute game changer for fans of this sport,” he said.
This will involve the integration of Meta AI, Meta Glasses, Meta Quest, Facebook, Instagram, WhatsApp, and Threads, all designed to deepen fan engagement with UFC content in unprecedented ways.
Particularly noteworthy is Meta’s introduction as the Official AI Glasses Partner of UFC, where the two entities will explore innovative applications of these cutting-edge AI glasses during UFC events.
Moreover, Threads, Meta’s platform dedicated to public dialogue, will take up the mantle of Official Social Media Partner for UFC.
This relationship will position Threads as the main hub for the UFC community, offering unique original content meant to facilitate discussions around the key highlights of each UFC event.
It will also create a dedicated environment for fans to express their views and connect with each other.
As the partnership evolves, further details will emerge as UFC and Meta work collaboratively to unveil new innovations and enhancements that promise to enrich the UFC experience for fans worldwide.
