Melbourne Victory Teams Up With LifeChanger Foundation

A-League club, Melbourne Victory, has announced a new partnership with mental health and well-being charity, LifeChanger Foundation.

Life Changer Foundation is a not-for-profit organisation that aims to help maximise the potential of all young Australians by providing the resources, skills, education, and pathways they need to develop a positive self-identity and live a thriving life.

Melbourne Victory managing director, Caroline Carnegie, said: “LifeChanger is a fantastic charity whose passion and commitment are second to none.”

“They are delivering real and tangible benefits to our younger community which is a natural alignment for sport, football, and Melbourne Victory,” Carnegie said.

Through the partnership, Melbourne Victory will partake in Lifechangers KM’S4KIDS virtual step challenge, which begins on September 1st.

Carnegie said: “The program will see Melbourne Victory staff measure their kilometers over a 21-day virtual health and wellbeing event to raise awareness and funds to support youth and LifeChanger programs.”

“We encourage all our members and fans to get involved and be part of the challenge,” she said.

The fundraising event has already raised $42,966, with 441 individuals registered to take part.

LifeChanger founder and CEO, Scott Watters, said: “Melbourne Victory’s strong community values and foundations enable LifeChanger to expand its reach and help support thousands of youth, community mentors, and families to build more thriving, resilient young people.”

“The critical role sport plays in connecting and supporting families and communities makes this partnership an important one.

“We look forward to working with Melbourne Victory,” Watters said.

Registrations are still open to participate in the KM’S4KIDS event, costing a $30 registration fee.
