Melbourne Victory, AGL Launch Female Forum Supporting Women In Business

The Melbourne Victory Football Club (MVFC) has announced a new naming rights partner in leading energy company, AGL, to present its new annual women’s networking program, the MVFC Female Forum.

The forum acknowledges the importance of inspiring leaders by supporting the increased presence of women in business, leadership, and executive roles through networking to foster industry connections.

AGL has been an existing partner of the club since 2014, with the partnership serving as a natural extension for the supplier.

Commenting on the partnership, MVFC managing director, Caroline Carnegie, celebrated the initiative as the first female managing director in the A-League:

“We’re thrilled to be able to launch this initiative with AGL and be able to connect female leaders across a plethora of different industries to share their ideas in this space,” Carnegie said.

“The AGL Female Forum will be held multiple times over the year, bringing to the fore key topics and talking points for women in business and will host a range of high-profile guests in the industry, gaining invaluable insights into their career and experience,” she said.

AGL’s general manager sales and channel development, Melanie Laing, added: “I am delighted that it will bring together like-minded women from different industries, helping to inspire the next generation of female leaders.”

The next Female Forum event, will be held in May to focus on strategic growth in leadership.

This announcement comes after Melbourne Victory joined the NFT and Crypto world by partnering with Sanctum-X.
