Melbourne United has unveiled a promising three-year partnership with global energy provider, ENGIE. Merging the realms of sports and sustainability, this collaboration signifies a shared dedication between both entities to bolster community engagement and champion eco-friendly practices. Over the next three seasons, Melbourne United’s game and training gear will prominently showcase the ENGIE logo.

ENGIE is a major player in the global energy market, with operations in over 70 countries. The company is committed to achieving net zero emissions by 2045. This aligns with Melbourne United’s broader vision of community engagement, as they integrate sustainability into their club values.

Shannon Hyde, MD of ENGIE Retail in Australia, expressed his enthusiasm about the partnership. “Joining hands with Melbourne United reinforces our commitment to support the energy transition journey in Australia. We are keen on strengthening our position in the community through such meaningful collaborations,” Hyde mentioned.

Melbourne United’s CEO, Nick Truelson, shared similar sentiments. “ENGIE’s dedication to sustainability complements our vision. This partnership is an embodiment of our aim to work with brands that resonate with our ethos. We’re looking forward to integrating sustainability initiatives into our programs,” Truelson said.

As Melbourne United gears up for the new season starting in September, the club’s supporters and basketball enthusiasts can anticipate a season that champions both sportsmanship and sustainability. With ENGIE by their side, Melbourne United not only sets their sight on championships but also on making strides towards a more sustainable future.
