he Melbourne Rebels and Yakult have announced they have extended their partnership for another 2 years, until at least the end of the 2022 Super Rugby season.

Yakult first signed on as a corporate partner of the Rebels in 2012 and now is the club’s second longest official partner, with the milk manufacturer to hold its branding rights on the four goal posts at AAMI Park and feature prominently during match day and across the club’s digital channels.

Melbourne Rebels CEO, Baden Stephenson, said he is thankful for Yakult’s continued corporate loyalty and support.

“The Melbourne Rebels are honoured to have Yakult commit to our club for another two seasons,” Stephenson said.

“It is a great show in faith in the Melbourne Rebels and the ongoing progress we are making to have such a well-respected global brand as Yakult continue to back us.

“With a shared focus on health and high performance, we look to partnering with Yakult for many years to come.

Yakult managing director, Kenji Ono, said: “Yakult is pleased to extend our partnership with the Melbourne Rebels for a further two years.

“The Rebel’s commitment to grassroots rugby in Melbourne aligns perfectly with our corporate philosophy of contributing to the health and happiness of people around the world,” Ono said.

The partnership extension comes ahead of the 2021 Super Rugby AU season, which is scheduled to begin for the Rebels on March 6.
